Embassy in Lisbon

Dear compatriots, dear Portuguese friends,

Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Belgium in Lisbon.

I arrived here in August, together with my wife and daughter, as the newly appointed Belgian Ambassador. It is an honor to serve my country and fellow citizens. The relations between Portugal and Belgium are excellent, both bilaterally and within the European Union. Together with my colleagues and the Embassy’s extensive network, we work every day to further strengthen these ties.

I am also fully aware of the great responsibility and importance of providing solid and efficient administrative support to Belgians residing in Portugal, whether permanently or temporarily. In this, I can rely on a dedicated and experienced team that ensures the professional handling of this essential task of the Embassy.
